An IRA bomb explosion which ripped in to the very heart of the City of London. Coventry Scaffolding’s emergency service was once again called into operation when an IRA bomb left in a taxi exploded near the famous Baltic Exchange virtually all but demolishing the building. Coventry’s team of Scaffolders reacted to the call and managed to shore up the building until Insurance Assessors could decide whether to try and repair the damage building or pull it down completely. In the end it was deemed too badly damaged and had to go. Sadly, Coventry’s men were there when the body of a Security Guard was pulled out of the rubble.
