We’ve come a long way in 75 years, from operating out of a bombed-out churchyard in Westminster, to becoming a leading independent scaffold contractor and Royal Warrant Holder. Our team of professional scaffolders have the experience, skills and technical knowledge to deliver great results, without ever compromising on safety. It’s a winning formula, which has resulted in projects at some of the UK’s most prestigious buildings, including Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Houses of Parliament, Natural History Museum and Hampton Court Palace.
Scaffolding heritage
Coventry was established as a scaffolding company in London by Pat Hanifan in 1950, after encouragement from his brother Maurice, and with financial support from five of his siblings. For the Hanifans, scaffolding has always been a family affair, with Coventry’s current directors, Paul and Perry, taking the reigns from their father in the 90s. They continue to take the company from strength to strength, embracing modern methods and technologies, while retaining the family values the company was built on.
Royal Warrant Holders
In 2005, after 40 years of working on projects at the Royal Palaces, Coventry Scaffolding was awarded the Royal Warrant by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Being the first scaffolding company in the UK to be granted this honour remains one of our finest achievements. We were proud to be granted a new Royal Warrant to His Majesty King Charles III in 2025, allowing us to continue in our role as a trusted supplier of scaffolding services to the Royal Household under the new reign.
